PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dry a raw yarn at a low temperature in a short time without unevenness by uniformly irradiating the running raw yarn with far infrared rays with a planar heater unit capable of radiating the far infrared rays. SOLUTION: This heater unit is obtained by baking a coating material containing a large amount of ceramic fine particles excellent in far infrared ray radiating properties on the surface side of a planar heat radiating plate, providing a ceramic coating layer, applying a planar heater to the back surface, forming a far infrared ray radiator and supporting the resultant far infrared ray radiator with a supporting frame so that distortion cannot be caused. Each of the resultant heater unit is arranged in a length corresponding to the width of a drying chamber facing a raw yarn running passage in the drying chamber of a sizing machine to uniformly irradiate the running raw yarn with the far infrared rays and dry the running raw yarn. |
