PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric double-layer capacitor with a large current at charging or discharging, and at abrupt up or down parts voltages made a small voltage range through reduced inner resistance, even if the capacitor is charged with a large current. SOLUTION: A polarizable electrode layer consisting of activated carbon, binding agent and conductive agent in a mixed state is formed on a metallic-foil or conductive molecular collector, in a way that part of the collector is exposed to form a pair of electrodes. Then, the pair of electrodes with a separator in between is wound to form a wound member 11. An electric double layer capacitor is constituted of the wound member 11, electrolyte for impregnating the wound member 11, a metallic case 13 for storing the wound member 11, and a sealing member 16 for sealing the opening of the metallic case 13. Then, a metallic electricity collector terminal 12 is metallized with the exposed part of the collector body in the wound member 11a. |
