PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel polypeptide that is regarded as one kind of kringle- containing proteins participating in blood coagulation, fibrinolysis, liver regeneration and lipid metabolism, and is useful for treatment of cancers, inflammations, allergies, asthma, Alzheimer's disease and the like. SOLUTION: The objective polypeptide HTHBZ47 is selected from among polypeptides that contains an amino acid sequence having at least 70 homology to the amino acid sequence of the formula, the polypeptide containing the amino acid sequence of the formula and an isolated polypeptide selected from the amino acid sequence of the formula. This polypeptide is prepared by, for example, screening the library under the stringent hybridization conditions using a labeled probe to collect the cDNA including the nucleotide sequence encoding the objective polypeptide and the cDNA is incorporated into the vector. Then, the host cells are transformed with the resultant expression vector and the transformant is cultured to produce the objective polypeptide. |
