PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-component developing method for suppressing the occurrence of sleeve filming and photoreceptor fogging, for suppressing the accumulation of toner particles on a sleeve and having improved adhesion resistance. SOLUTION: This developing method consists of a process of supplying the toner whose mean shape factor (SF value) is 100 to 150 to a toner carrying member, a process of making the supplied toner pass through a gap between the toner carrying member and a toner control member, electrifying the toner and also forming a thin toner layer on the carrying member, a process of serving the thin toner layer formed on the carrying member in order to develop an electrostatic latent image and a process of impressing a voltage of 50 to 100 V whose polarity is opposite to that of the charged toner and recovering the toner. |
