PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component mounting equipment and a method, wherein accurate mounting can be made, eliminating errors. SOLUTION: The part ID of an electronic component 2, which is sucked by a suction nozzle 1 to be mounted on a printed board 10, is read by a part ID reader 14. A deciding part is provided to verify whether the part IDs read by the part ID reader 14 match the parts which should be mounted. When it is decided that the part ID of the electronic component 2 sucked by the suction nozzle 1 is correct, the electronic component 2 is mounted at a prescribed position, and when it is decided that the part ID of the electronic component 2 is not correct, a corrective action is executed. |
