<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To damp the sound of a chord in a lower register and a low-medium register desirably without needing alignment work of high accuracy with the chord by forming a support body fixed to the front side of a damper block, of laterally deformable elastic material. SOLUTION: A support body 15 is formed of relatively soft elastic material such as silicone gel or soft rubber easily deformable also in the lateral direction, and formed in vertical long block shape. Damper felt 17 is formed of wool felt vertically divided into two parts, and N-type felt 18a is used in a one-chord damper 11a (a), while V-type felt 18b is used in a two-chord damper 11b (b). At the time of damping sound, in the case of the damper felt 17 being installed being laterally shifted from a chord S, the support body 15 formed of soft elastic material is laterally deformed in such a way as to follow the chord S, thus compensating the lateral dislocation of the damper felt 17.</p> |
