<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the transfer data complementing device by which incident probability of a cell complementation insert inhibit state due to an overflowed buffer is suppressed with a simplified circuit configuration. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a virtual path VP identification circuit 81 that identifies a virtual path identifier VPI of a received asynchronous transfer mode ATM cell 80, a loss misdelivery buffer 82 corresponding to the VP based on a VPI identified by the VP identification circuit 81, and a complementary buffer 83 that buffers a received cell used in common by all the VP from the loss misdelivery buffer 82, and also with a loss misdelivery detection circuit 84. The circuit 84 detects number of misdelivered cells and number of losses based on a sequence number of transfer cells buffered in the loss misdelivery buffer 82 for each VP and a sequence number 85 of the received ATM cell 80. In the case of detecting a cell loss, a complementary cell 89 generated by a complementary cell generating circuit 104 corresponding to number of losses is inserted, and in the case of detecting an idle cell by an idle cell discrimination circuit and in the case of detecting cell misdelivery, the cell is aborted.</p> |
