FIELD: metal cutting appliances. SUBSTANCE: this cutting appliance is used in metallurgy for cutting continuously moving ingot into measured lengths. Shears can be used in machines intended for continuous casting of billets. Hydraulic drive of shears has pumping and accumulator station, hydraulic control device, and hydraulic cylinder which is installed in pendulum-type body of shears. Also provided is separately installed positioning hydraulic cylinder. Unit of limit switches for hydraulic cylinder of shears is protected from unfavorable weather conditions. Rod space of positioning hydraulic cylinder is connected with rod space of hydraulic cylinder of shears. Piston space of positioning hydraulic cylinder is connected with hydraulic control device. Piston space of positioning hydraulic cylinder has additional hydraulic connection with its rod space through non-return valve. In addition, hydraulic drive is provided with another hydraulic control device which is installed between main hydraulic control device and hydraulic cylinder of shears and it has additional pressure sensor which is hydraulically connected with piston space of hydraulic cylinder of shears. Aforesaid embodiment of hydraulic drive of flying pendulum shears gives higher reliability in operation. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 3 dwg
