PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a time lag between an electronic image obtained by an electronic image pickup device and a latent image exposed on film in photography using a stroboscopic device for a camera used both for silver salt photography and electronic image pickup. SOLUTION: In an exposure sequence flow chart, whether or not image pickup by an area sensor should be stopped is judged according as whether an image pickup time calculated at a step S4 has elapsed at a step S22. In the case of judging that the image pickup should be stopped, whether or not the requirement of strobe light emission is given is judged at a step S23. In the case of judging that the requirement is given, whether the light has been already emitted is judged at a step S24. In the case of judging that the light has been already emitted, the image pickup by the area sensor is stopped at a step S25. Next, whether the front curtain of a shutter passes through an aperture and the shutter is fully opened is judged at a step S26. In the case of judging that the shutter is fully opened, whether or not the requirement of the strobe light emission is given is judged at a step S27. In the case of judging that the requirement is given, whether the light has been already emitted is judged at a Step S28. In the case of judging that the light has not been emitted, a stroboscope 25 is actuated to start the light emission at a step S29. |
