<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a chuck member from being co-rotated by the strong tightening of a cap nut, and execute the connection of a pipe rapidly and strongly, by substantially integrally forming a coupling main body and the chuck member. SOLUTION: In the case that a soft pipe such as a synthetic resin pipe P is connected to a main pipe side, firstly, a chuck member 2 is screwed into the screw 1c of a coupling main body 1 through an adhesion, and is brought into contact with the inner flange of the coupling main body 1, thereby both members 1, 2 are united undetachably. Next, the screw 1a of the coupling main body 1 is connected to the main pipe side, and the end of the connecting pipe P is inserted to the insert 1b of the coupling main body 1 until the end is stopped by being collided with the inner flange of the chuck member 2. Then, a cap nut 3 screwed into the screw of a ring 2c is tightened so as to advance the cap nut 3, the slant end surface of the ring 2c is pushed and pressed by the inner end of the cap nut 3, the diameter of each piece divided by the split groove of the ring 2c is shrunk, and a projected streak arranged in the latter halt part of the ring 2c is bitten into a connecting pipe surface by equal pushing and pressing force, thus connection is finished.</p> |
