SUBSTANCE: commander's hatch traversing mechanism has a racing device, reduction gear with a driven gear installed on a movable racer by means of a hinge and a tie with a spring. Traversing gear disengagement device is made as a cam surface with a radius profile and segment recess, eccentrically fastened on the axle of the traversing handwheel and engageable with a roller installed in the reduction gear case. The roller axis and traversing handwheel axis are parallel to the driven gear axis. The tie is mounted in a spherical support.
