PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of preventing the direction of a document from being erroneously discriminated even when a rear-side image is conspicuous in a both-side original. SOLUTION: At the time of original copying processing, whether an original is a both-side original image or not is checked in a step S12, and in the case of a both-side original, processing (AE processing) for omitting the ground of read image data is executed in a step S13, document direction discriminating processing is executed in a step S14 and a picture is printed out by a layout suited to the direction of the document in a step S15. Consequently prescribed image processing can be executed for a specific image prior to the discrimination of a document direction and highly accurate document direction discrimination can be attained. |
