PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform stable printing without decreasing a bias effect to a reset roller by supplying reset bias from the surface of the reset roller. SOLUTION: An electrode 6 for applying the reset bias Vr is provided to come in contact with the surface of the reset roller 5. Namely, since the reset bias Vr is applied through the surface of the roller 5, the stable bias effect is obtained without being affected by clogging due to non-magnetic developer 2. A cylindrical conductive member or a tabular conductive member is used as the electrode 6 for applying the reset bias Vr. In the case of using the cylindrical conductive member, for instace, a metallic bar, the member is rotatably brought into contact with the roller 5, whereby the wear caused by friction is reduced. In the case of using the tabular conductive member, for instance, a metallic plate, the constitution of the device is simplified. |
