PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the position registration method by updating position information of a mobile in a database based on an informed position registration request, a telephone number of the mobile terminal and a telephone number of the section to attain position registration of the mobile terminal, even via a general public channel. SOLUTION: A mobile terminal 1 sends a position registration request with a telephone number of the mobile terminal 1, and a base station 3 informs a mobile terminal communication exchange 5 of the position registration request, a telephone number of the mobile terminal 1, and a telephone number of the base station 3 via a general public channel. The mobile terminal communication exchange 5 updates position information of the mobile terminal 1 in a database 7 based on the position registration request, the telephone number of the mobile terminal 1 and the telephone number of the base station 3 which are notified by the mobile terminal 1. Thus, even if the mobile terminal 1 moves to a dead area, the mobile terminal 1 can receive a call by the telephone number of the mobile terminal 1, by providing a small-sized base station 3 which connects to a general public channel to the dead area. |
