PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the operability of a data carrier for carrying various data. SOLUTION: A storage part 27 in an IC card 1 stores an AP program and data necessary for application(AP) operation. A processing part 29 executes an AP processing based on the AP program and the data. A transmission part 31 executes transmission processing with a portable telephone set 13 and communication processing with an IC card reader/writer 39. A communication control part 33 in the telephone set 13 controls the transmission/reception of data between an IC card and a host computer 40 installed in a bank or the like and displays the contents of various data in the IC card on a display part. When the telephone set 13 is connected to an external connection device 37 through an external connection terminal 25 and an adaptor in a state inserting the IC card 1, a transmission part 35 in the telephone set 13 transmits the data of the IC card 1 to the device 37 and transmits the data of the device 37 to the control part 33 or the IC card 1 if necessary. |
