PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the optical pickup device accompanying a floating type optical head with a reflection mirror of an optical recording and reproducing device without generating omission in information reproduced from an optical recording medium and the information recorded in the optical recording medium. SOLUTION: The floating type optical head 44 with the reflection mirror is provided with the reflection mirror 38 for turning a light beam from a light source 14a on the outside of a slider to the recording layer 100a of the optical recording medium 100 and an objective lens 40 for converting the light beam from the reflection mirror 38 to the recording layer 100a on the slider 36 provided on the extension end part of an elastic arm member 34 extended from a supporting pedestal 11 to the surface of the rotating medium 100 and floated from the surface by a wind generated by rotation. The displacement amount to the light beam from the supporting pedestal 11 to the reflection mirror 38 in a direction B along the rotation center line of the medium 100 of the floating type optical head 44 with the reflection mirror is measured in a means 52 and the optical path of the light beam from the light source 14 to the reflection mirror 38 is displaced in the direction by an optical path displacement means 32 corresponding to the displacement amount. |
