PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bidirectional shift register which realizes a bidirctional shift function without deteriorating data with a reduced count of elements and is improved in degree of integration. SOLUTION: This bidirectional shift register is provided with F/F(flip flops) of inverters connected to switches a1-a9 which are open at all times during Low period of an input REV signal and switches b1-b9 which are open at all times during a High period, and switches c1-c8 sequentially interposed and connected to the F/F and controlled to be open, closed by a CLK signal periodically clocking from Low to High or from High to Low. The switches b1-b9 are opened during the Low period of the REV signal and moreover, the switches a1-a9 are opened, closed in accordance with the clocking of the CLK signal thereby shifting data in a forward direction. The switches a1-a9 are opened during the High period of the REV signal and the switches b1-b9 are opened, closed according to the clocking of the CLK signal, thereby shifting the data in an opposite direction. |
