PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect an air conditioner even if power supply voltage to an electronic controller becomes high. SOLUTION: This protective device is provided with a power supply voltage detecting means 1 for detecting power supply voltage, and an energizing switching means 2 for turning on/off energizing to an inverter circuit 3 and a switching power circuit 4. If the power supply voltage detecting means 1 detects high voltage, the energizing switching means 2 turns off energizing to the inverter circuit 3 and the switching power circuit 4 to prevent the inverter circuit 3 and the switching power circuit 4 from being destroyed, thus it is possible to protect an air conditioner.
