SOLUTION: The measurement data of an axial section (Xs, Ys) is read to make a rough groove normal sectional form on the basis of (Xs, Ys) and lead angle value, a virtual ball is brought into contact with the rough groove normal sectional form to calculate the ball central coordinate in the groove normal section, and the ball central coordinate in the rough groove normal section is converted into a coordinate corresponding to the axial section to calculate a corrected central coordinate (Xc, Yc) The dimension from the center to a measuring point in the steel ball center circle on the axial section and the dimension from the corrected center to the measuring point are calculated on the basis of an input value of steel ball center circle diameter dm, a lead value, (Xs, Ys), and (Xc, Yc), a point on the groove right angle section where the relation of helixθangle andθb in dm when the measuring point is moved in thread direction satisfies tan (θb)=R1 sin(θ)/(X1-Lθ/2π) is found, and the coordinate (Xnew, Ynew) in groove right angled section coordinate system is calculated.
