PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method and measuring system capable of easily measuring the surface form of a three-dimensional molding with an optional sensitivity in a short time without making contact with the molding. SOLUTION: A molding 1 is placed on a placing table 2, and a white translucent plastic ball 3 is provided between incandescent lamps 4, 4 so as to enclose it. A light is made incident on the surface of the molding 1, the intensity of linear polarization of the normally reflected light is measured by a CCD camera 6 through a polarizing film 5 over all polarization angles, and the plane of polarization of a linear polarizing component having a minimum value Imin is taken as incident surface. The incident angleΨis calculated from the values of maximum value Imax and minimum value Imin, and the direction formed by the advancing direction of the reflected light with the angleΨis calculated as the normal direction of the measured position of the surface of the molding 1 corresponding to the picture element of the CCD camera 6.
