<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor capable of executing high resolution conversion and enlarging processing satisfying both of the resolution of a character area and the smoothness of a photograph area also for an image mixedly including a character image and a photograph image. SOLUTION: The frequency of a partial image to be processed is converted by a frequency conversion means 2, a frequency conversion coefficient matrix is divided into plural areas of plural patterns based on the frequency conversion result and the average coefficient value of each area is numerized as a feature value. The average coefficient value of each area is inputted to a hierarchical neural, network in a conversion filter selection means 4, which calculates the adaptation of each conversion filter as an output and selects a conversion filter of highest adaptation. An interpolation processing means 5 executes interpolation processing by using a conversion filter suitable for each partial image.</p> |
