PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the possibility of seat reservations by transmitting only the completion of a reservation to a user at the time of reserving a seat and assigning the seat at the time of issuing a ticket on the day of taking a train, to attain seat allocation to minimize passenger's complicated movements at the time of getting on or off the train and to make it possible to change useless reserved seats into non- reserved seats or change a part of a non-reserved seats into a reserved seat by controlling a reserved seat area in accordance with a reservation state. SOLUTION: This system is constituted of information terminals 1010 for enabling an unspecified number of users to input seat reservation requests from remote places, IC cards 1020 for storing a user ID, utilization history, etc., an interconnection network (Inter-net) 1030, a reservation request history 1040 for storing users' reservation requests as time-series data, train information 1050 for storing information inherent in a certain train such as a layout of non-reserved seats and reserved seats and the number of seats, a seat allocation plan preparing device 1060 for always updating a seat allocation plan in accordance with a state of user's reservation requests, a seat allocation plan 1070 for storing the plan outputted from the device 1060, and a ticket issuing device 1080 for issuing seat ID when a user inputs his or (her) own IC card on the day of getting on the train concerned. |
