THREE-DIMENSIONAL DATA COMPRESSOR, THREE-DIMENSION DATA DECOMPRESSOR AND RECODING MEDIUM THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a three-dimensional image from an arbitrary view point at a high speed by dividing time series three-dimensional real number data into prescribed blocks and compressing differential data at an irreversible high compression rate so as to drastically reduce the data amount and to send the data. SOLUTION: A computer server 1 is a supercomputer that conducts analysis of large scale real numbers. A data compression means 4 divides three- dimensional real number data computed by a numeral computing means 3 at an ultrahigh speed into prescribed blocks, applies quantization to a discrete Fourier transform(DTF) coefficient for each block applies entropy coding to the data to generate three-dimensional compressed data. The three-dimensional compressed data are transferred in a short time via a channel/LAN and recorded in/read from a small capacity recoding medium such as a CD-ROM. Thus, a receiver side display computer 11 decompresses the three-dimensional compressed data into nearly the original three-dimensional real number data and displays the result of the original large scale real number analysis and of the analysis in progress in real time.
