PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stable printing image by which a white stripe and a black stripe do not occur in a reproduced image even though a photoreceptor belt is brought into contact with a developing roller. SOLUTION: As to an image forming device provided with a developing device 3 obtaining a toner image by bringing the photoreceptor belt 1 of a closed loop with an electrostatic lament image formed on a surface into contact with the developing roller 3b; the position of a joint part 1d where the belt-like material of the belt 1 is superposed is detected in the period for stopping and holding the belt 1, the belt 1 on a non-printing area 13 whose range includes the part 1d is brought into contact with the roller 3b. Thus, the area 12 is unrelated to the roller 3b, so that the thermoplastic material of an elastic material on the surface is prevented from being transferred. |
