<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide current control method/current controller for reducing consumption current when application is not operated on a peripheral equipment consuming consumption current to a degree similar to operation time even if application is not operated. SOLUTION: In the communication method, a host computer 1 and the peripheral equipment 2 which receives power feeding from a host 1 basically executes packet communication. The consumption current of the peripheral equipment 2 is controlled by transmitting data obtained by giving meaning to current control data 3 to data transmitted to the peripheral equipment 2 from the host 1. Thus, the consumption current of the peripheral equipment 2 is controlled. The peripheral equipment 2 is provided with a means 6 discriminating that data is current control data 3 and a means 8 turning on/off feeding current.</p> |
