PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a short circuit from being formed even when a thermocompression connection is made by using an anisotropic conductive film much thicker than an electrode by forming a spacer at an end part where a terminal of a liquid crystal display device or a terminal of a film substrate is bonded by thermocompression. SOLUTION: A pattern 3 is forded of Cu on a polyimide film 2. At the connection terminal part of the film substrate, the spacer 5 is formed of an epoxy resin material by printing to, for example, a 10 to 15μm. The anisotropic conductive film 6 is, for example, 25μm thick and the diameter of a conductive particle is, for example, 10μm. The spacer 5 is positioned over a terminal of a liquid crystal panel 1 and bonded by thermocompression across the anisotropic conductive film 6. A terminal part where the spacer 5 is not present is preferably bonded by thermocompression and conductive particles which are to flow out to the end part without contributing the connection of the anisotropic conductive film 6 at this time are stopped at the peripheral part of this spacer 5, so no short circuit is formed between leads.
