PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a firing operation unit for testing a fuel injection type engine prior to mounting on the chassis in which fuel in fuel piping can be collected surely and safety can be enhanced while ensuring security of a worker. SOLUTION: Firing operation test is carried out for the engine of any one of first through third test benches 51-53 by supplying fuel from a supply pump 71 and a fuel supply pipe 41a, 41b, 43 to a fuel injection nozzle 2a-2c through a pipe 3a-3c at fuel supply passage part. Upon finishing a test, the solenoid on/off valve of the fuel injection nozzle is opened by a collection nozzle control means 92 to collect residual fuel in the fuel supply passage part and the fuel injection nozzle through the fuel supply pipe or a fuel collection pipe 42a, 42c and a suction pump 74. Since the air flows through the opened fuel injection nozzle into the fuel supply passage part, the pipe is evacuated to collect the residual fuel surely. According to the arrangement, residual fuel leakage is prevented and safety can be enhanced while ensuring security of a worker. |
