PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the number of operating keys and the time taken for selection to be reduced. SOLUTION: In the selection of foods, the row of the top character of a target food e.g. row 'ka' or 'sa' in the Japanese syllabary is selected by a row select key, every time a column feed key is pressed to display food names one by one on the selected column after selection of the row of the top character of the target food, and when desired food name is reached, the key is stopped from pressing to display this food name. When the row select key and column feed key are pressed for a specified time, the display scans by one display for every pressing, but if continuously pressing for a specified time, it scans continuously. |
