PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly extract features of an image at a slight increase of calculation quantity by calculating correlation data having displacement of a position of a linear component and the direction whose resolution is improved further than the resolution in the direction of the linear component as parameters by integrating plural pieces of correlation data. SOLUTION: First correlation data are calculated and one or more pieces of second correlation data are simultaneously calculated by using the calculated first correlation data CC1 (θ1 ,τ1 ) and one or more directionsθ2i (i=1, 2..., n; 1<=n) having finer resolution than that of the directionθ1 near the directionθ1 . And the correlation data CC (θ,τ) having the displacementτof the position of the linear component and the directionθwhose resolution is improved further than that of the directionθ1 of the linear component as the parameters is calculated by integrating plural pieces of correlation data CC1 (θ1 ,τ1 ), CC2i (θ2i ,τ2i ). Thus, the exact displacement between two images is calculated while suppressing the calculation quantity at a slight increase.
