PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sensor element with high reliability and high durability, by applying a polished finish to the surface of a thermet conductive body which operationally engages with a contact. SOLUTION: By directly applying a polished finish to a surface 130, recessions and protrusions on the surface 130 are removed. A drum 400 is rotated and moved downward, and brought into contact with the surface 130. Pointed protrusions are crushed or ground and finally reduced up to ridge parts by grinding. By this, a surface with an extremely low grindability is provided during engagement with a contact. Furthermore, cleaning is performed after a polished finish to remove chippings. Cleaning is performed by a flow of compressed air. In addition, it is verified that a polished finish improves the solderability of a conductive body 120 and provides synergistic advantages superior than before. |
