摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve communication quality by uniformizing making the directive characteristics of radiation power and light-receiving power. SOLUTION: This communication device has a light-emitting means and a light-receiving means and performs intercommunication by the use of infrared beams, etc. The directive characteristic of radiation power in the light-emitting means is made uniform with the directive characteristic of light-receiving power in the light-receiving means. The light-emitting means 12 consists of six light- emitting elements (LED) 32, and when the optical axis of one light-emitting element is regarded as the reference, the other light-emitting elements are arranged at the separated positions from the optical axis by only a prescribed angle. In such a case, the radiation angles of the light-emitting elements are selected, so that the total radiation power characteristics PT in the light emitting elements 32a to 32f can match with the light-receiving power characteristic PR. When the directive characteristics of the radiation power and light-receiving power are made uniform, the receiving can be performed on the same level as with other communication devices, even in the case of the communication in an isolated state from a communication distance and the reference optical axis. Thus, communication quality is made uniform.
