PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To support a device to easily prepare the document of good appearance which is fit to the intention and the purpose of a person to prepare it, at the time of preparing the document containing a material for appealing a certain impression such as a photograph and an illustration to a reader. SOLUTION: In this device, document information containing the content and the attribute of a document being the object of preparation support is stored in a document information storage part 2 and material information containing the content and the attribute of a material used in the document, is stored in a material information storage part 3. Further, material design knowledge information regulating a relation between the evaluation word of the material and the design element of the material is stored in a material knowledge data base 4. Then, a material design deciding part 5 executes inference processing by using the material design knowledge information stored in the knowledge data base 4 based on the document information stored in the document information storage part 2 and the material information stored in the material information storage part 3 and decides the adoption of the material and the design processing of the material. Thus, a person to prepare the document can easily prepare the document of good appearance which is fit to the intention and the purpose, even if he does not have knowledge for designing the document containing the material. |
