PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a PHS terminal from repeating communications with a center system, when the PHS terminal recognizes its own position and a position of a destination to which the PHS terminal moves. SOLUTION: A PHS terminal 11 stores to a memory 111 the base station identification numbers of surrounding base stations and a base station 22 that manages a service area corresponding to position information (object destination code) of a moving object destination 5. The PHS terminal 11 compares an identification number of a base station in an area, where the moving PHS terminal 11 is resident at present with each base station identification number stored in the memory. When they match, it is informed by an external output (display device) through a buzzer tone of the PHS terminal. Thus, the user of the PHS terminal 11 recognizes that the terminal has been present in the vicinity of the object destination 5. The system assists the guidance of the PHS terminal to the destination while preventing an increase of times of communications between the PHS terminal and the center system to obtain the positional information from the center system. |
