PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable smoothly recovering the developer after completing development of a latent image in the development housing, while preventing the occurrence of toner scattering, by a device constitution positioning a rotary center of a feeding roll higher than the rotary center of the developing roll. SOLUTION: In the case of purge system temporarily saving and recovering the developer on the developing roll, this device is allowed to arrange, among magnetic members 5 in the feeding roll 4, a magnetic pole 6a firstly receiving the developer from the developing roll 1 and the magnetic pole 6b adjacent thereto on the downstream side in the developer transporting direction, in mutually opposite polarity, while to arrange repulsing magnetic poles 6c and 6d in the same polarity adjacent to each other on the downstream side of the magnetic pole 6a. Then, between the feeding roll 4 and a bottom wall 8a of the developing housing 8, the device is allowed to form a recovering path 9 with a narrow gap when comparing back and force for serving also as a seal part of the bottom wall 8a of the developing housing 8 arranged so as to face to at least, a part of an area in which a magnetic field of the feeding roll 4 is formed by the magnetic poles pair 6a and 6b, in the opposite polarity constitution. |
