PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To sterilize the inside of a vacuum tank efficiently without imparting a sterile liquid to a food being cooled by arranging a nozzle for spraying a sterile liquid in the vacuum tank coupled with a vacuum means and spraying a sterile liquid while emptying the vacuum tank. SOLUTION: This vacuum cooler comprises a vacuum tank 1 arranged with a plurality of shelves 10 for mounting foods and a vacuum means, i.e., a water jet, coupled through a pipe 2 with the vacuum tank 1 and through a circulation pipe with the inside of a cooling water tank. A nozzle 9 is fixed to the ceiling part 1a of the tank 1 and coupled with a sterile liquid (ethyl alcohol) tank 90 through an on/off valve 91. The vacuum tank 1 is emptied by taking out the loads and then the sterile liquid is sprayed from the nozzle 9 to adhere on the wall face thus preparing for next cooling work. According to the method, foods can be vacuum cooled hygienically while eliminating the effect of various germs. |
