PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct facsimile communication efficiently even in the absence of an input output device such as a personal computer by storing only the transmitted facsimile data, when non input-output device is connected and storage of facsimile data is set. SOLUTION: This portable telephone set 10 is connected to a personal computer 20 via a connection line 30. A broadcast (memory area) storing fax communication data is provided in the inside of the portable telephone set 10 and a discrimination section that discriminates whether communication is a usual voice signal means or fax communication, based on a signal sent via a communication network is provided to the portable telephone set 10. In order to attain fax communication even in the absence of the personal computer 20, a control section is provided to discriminate whether or not the portable telephone set 10 is connected to the personal computer 20 and to control whether or not data sent to the buffer are to be stored. Thus, even in the absence of a personal computer software, the portable telephone set receives an incoming call automatically and received fax information. |
