PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode plate for a liquid crystal display device which is free from an alignment defect of liquid crystal molecules and has superior display quality as an electrode plate using ferroelectric or antiferroelectric liquid crystal. SOLUTION: On a transparent substrate 2, a light shield part layer 3, a color filter layer 4, and a transparent layer 5, an electrode layer 6 and an alignment layer 7 above the color filter layer 4, and a partition part layer 9 above the light shield part layer are stacked in order, and the direction of the partition wall part layer and the axial direction 8 of uniaixial alignment are almost parallel to each other. Consequently, fine irregularities of the surface of the color filter layer 4 constituting the electrode plate for the liquid crystal display device causes neither twisting or unevenness of the alignment of liquid crystal molecules to remove a hotbed where an alignment defect of liquid crystal molecules is caused. |
