PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blade for electrophotographic device reduced in the friction factor of surface and without causing any reverse rotation at an initial stage and to provide a method for manufacturing the blade. SOLUTION: This blade is constituted by joining a blade member 1 and a supporting member 2, and is used by allowing an edge on the other side parallel to the joint surface of the blade member 1 and the supporting member 2 to abut on an opponent member. In this case, a hard polymer film whose thickness is a monomolecular film thickness or above and <=5×is formed on and near the edge abutting on the opponent member.
