PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connector capable of being at high density and forming a low profile. SOLUTION: This connector is provided with an insulating housing 2 formed into long and narrow in the width direction, and plural terminals 5, 6 mounted in a ranging state at predetermined pitches on the insulating housing 2. Cantilever-like contact pieces 9, 14 provided on the terminals 5, 6 face a connection accepting portion 8, and the conductive pad 25, 26 of a conductive pad carrier 22 inserted into a connection accepting portion 8 and contact portions 9a, 14a formed on the contact piece 9, 14 are caused to abut mutually, so as to obtain an electrically conducting state for providing an electrical connector 1. The contact portions 9a, 14a of the contact pieces 9, 14 of the terminals 5, 6 are arranged in two rows vertically on the connection accepting portion 8, the conductive pad carrier 22 inserted into the connection accepting portion 8 are supported by three portions, that is the contact portions 9a, 14a arranged in two rows vertically, and a support face 21 provided on an insulating housing 2 side. |
