PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dictation system which removes unnecessary words or the like included in a voice from the object of voice recognition without requiring a considerably high-speed processing. SOLUTION: This dictation system is provided with a digital recorder and a personal computer 4. The digital recorder 1 is provided with a check mark button, with which a speaker designates voice data parts related to unnecessary words or the like in voice data inputted from a microphone, and records voice data, to which check marks are added by the check mark button, in a freely attachable/detachable miniature card 2. The personal computer 4 takes in this voice data from the miniature card 2 set to a PC card adapter 3 through a PC card slot and removes voice data with the check mark added from the object of voice recognition and takes voice data without check marks as the object to perform voice recognition by a voice recognition program 9.
