Liquid is pushed through a membrane filter (1) by the weight of a piston (6), which has been previously raised by filling a section of the piston cylinder (23) with high pressure concentrate. Two pistons move up and down alternately, to provide a continuous head of pressure for the filter. An independent claim is given for an installation to carry out the process. |
