<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install a long and large diameter pipe in a short time by winding a long arrow-shaped plates around a reel which are molded with a synthetic resin into a circular arc shape in cross section, transporting them to an installing field in a small boat, and forming them to a pipe with a welder at high speed. SOLUTION: An arrow-shape plate A is molded by∥bending it with a circular arc die. When the arrow-shaped plate is wound around a reel it becomes flat, but when it is heated in a remaining heat chamber it is simply returned to the original circular arc shape by a reshaping guide roller. A surface to be melted of an arrow top 2 and a wing 3 of the circular arc shaped arrow-shaped plate A are rapidly melted by strongly pressing it onto a dog-legged shaped heater 5 heated higher than about 300 deg.C of a welder and are welded by a crimp roller F, and the plates A are formed to a pipe by the welder at a high speed of 100 m/hour to form a deep water intake pipe. The pipe is taken back by a take-back machine, attached with a wire rope, and pulled by a tug boat, and the long, strong and large diameter pipe can be speedily dropped at an intake position and installed there.</p> |
