PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select required information among teletext information and pattern information by providing a reception frequency control means that controls a TV signal reception frequency of an external TV signal receiver. SOLUTION: A personal computer uses an entry device to receive a video recording command of a desired program and controls a remote control signal generating circuit 12 for instructing a TV signal receiver to select the frequency of a broadcast station. A decoding circuit 10 samples a TV signal received and converted from the TV signal receiver into a video signal, extracts multiplexed teletext information, corrects and detects errors, and stores obtained data in a buffer RAM. At the same time, the circuit 10 notifies a CPU that data are ready in the buffer RAM through a CPU interface circuit 11. The CPU in the personal computer processes the information in the buffer RAM and selects the desired program schedule information. |
