PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a fan driving IC or a radiating fan of specifications for expecting an excess motor load by detecting a temperature near a fan driver, and controlling to decelerate a rotatoinal speed of an outdoor fan at the time of exceeding an upper limit reference temperature difference at the temperature difference between the detected temperature and the atmospheric temperature. SOLUTION: When an air conditioner is started to be operated by a body microcomputer 10, a fan microcomputer 12 first inputs a fin temperature TF and the atmospheric temperature TO via the microcomputer 10, and calculates a temperature differenceΔT between the both. Then, the temperature difference >=T is compared with an upper limit reference temperature differenceΔTS (e.g. 45 deg.C). In the case ofΔT<ΔTS, a drive control of an outdoor fan 2 according to a normal control mode is conducted. Meanwhile, if a motor load is increased, and in the case ofΔT>ΔTS, a rotational speed control signal SF to a fan driver 8 is altered from a level corresponding to a required rotational speed VR so that a rotational speed of the fan 2 becomes a low speed set rotational speed. And, a rotational speed of the fan 2 is held at the low speed set speed. |
