The support hose consists of an outer layer (6) of a material with little or no stretch, an inner membrane (4) in contact with the limb (2) and an intermediate sleeve (3) made from a number of separate compartments filled by injecting them with a fluid through individual valves. The dimensions of the hose can be varied to leave exposed the thigh, toes or heel, as required.
