Here is a novel method of making a rip-off tab at the pouring opening of a pack containing a powder or liquid product. The pack blank is card composite (3). This has an external plastic sheet (2) and one or more sheets of plastic on the internal face (4, 6). Optionally, metallic sheet (5) is sandwiched. The composite is folded to a rectangular box, open at one end for filling, before welding shut. The novel process commences with the cut-out (8) made in the card blank (3) and outer plastic sheet (2). This cut-out includes a grip section (11). |
