<p>A toilet seat sanitary protector changer (10) includes a seat (12) having a supply assembly (14) positioned on one side and a takeup assembly (16) provided on the opposite side. The seat includes mounting structure (62) for movably mounting to a toilet bowl (TB). A continuous strip of sanitary protective covers (18) in the supply assembly is fed across the seat to the takeup assembly. The takeup assembly includes a slotted takeup rod (24) engaging the covers and a prestressed constant torque spring motor (28) engaging the takeup rod. A multiplier gear (30) increases the number of turns of the takeup rod. The supply assembly includes a braking mechanism (44) and sensor (48) for tensioning and controlling advancement of the strip of covers. A release pushbutton (58) can override the brake mechanism.</p> |
