<p>A keyboard suitable for use as an input device for electronic data comprises a plurality of keys arranged in an array formed of at least two lines (L1, L2) and at least two columns (C1, C2); each key comprises a piezoelectric element (11...44) capable of generating an electric charge when operating the corresponding key; all keys are connected both to a common first electrode means as well as to a second electrode means so that upon actuation of a key of the keyboard an electric charge or signal generated by the actuated key is produced which is indicative of the position of the key within the keyboard; each piezoelectric element comprises at least two segments and each of these segments is connected separately to the second electrode means; said at least two segments of each of said piezoelectric elements have a substantially equal piezoelectric functionality.</p> |
