The method includes preparation of a thermoplastic synthetic resin solution then laminating the planar substrate with it using a roller coating method. The thermoplastic resin solution is then dried to form a lamination sheet. The lamination sheet and the object to be laminated are then passed through a nip between pressing and heating rollers so that the lamination sheet adheres to the surface of the object. There may be a silicone release layer between the thermoplastic synthetic resin and the substrate, and the substrate is removed from the object by means of this layer, to transfer the synthetic resin onto the object. The substrate comprises paper and/or synthetic resin film, and the organic solvent is selected from the group consisting of toluene, methyl ethyl ketone, ethyl alcohol and xylene. The synthetic resin thin film has a thickness of between 0.005 and 0.01 microns.
