The equipment comprises a frame (1) with parallel conical points (5) for the temporary fixing to the tree bark. A rotating cutting tool (16) driven by a motor can be moved axially relative to the frame. The tool and its drive motor are mounted on the frame by means of a sliding column (12) which has a return spring (22) for returning it to the tool disengagement position.
